HPC Hosts Americruise 1997 Dinner 

Beautiful Street Rods and the Rocky Mountains

Salt Lake City, Utah – July 13, 1997 – Murray Park in Salt Lake City, Utah was the site of a dinner hosted by HPC for Rod & Custom Magazine’s Americruise ’97. Over 100 pre-’63 cars and 250 street rodders attended the party catering to Roy Brizio’s tour starting in San Francisco, CA and ending in Springfield, IL. Also attending HPC’s dinner was Boyd Coddington, Michael Anthony of Van Halen, and Sam and Chip Foose.

Randy Wills, USA Bobsled Team coach was on hand with a two man bobsled and a one man “rocket car”, a mini bobsled on wheels that is used during the summer months. Americruise participants were able to tour the Winter Sports Park outside of Park City, Utah and take a run on the rocket cars. The Winter Sports Park is the site of the 2002 Olympic ski jumping, bobsled and luge competitions.

HPC is pleased to have been a part of Americruise again and to have supported the street rodding industry for over fifteen years.
