The company that revolutionized the coating industry with HCoat now offers its own headers for the small block Chevy. HPC’s No Leaker headers were designed for the discriminating builder who appreciates quality and low maintenance.
This unique header offers true 16-gauge steel with 1-5/8″ tube diameters. The single plane hydra-formed merge collector is constructed of .090″ wall thickness which allows for a maximum clearance in confined areas. The collector connection is a tapered modular flange like O.E.M.’s have utilized for years. This ensures a “No-Leak” connection to the 2-1/4″ down pipe (included in the kit). Thick 3/8″ laser cut flanges attach the header to the head. Headers come coated with our famous HCoat polished aluminum finish inside and out. Eight other colors are also available. To complete the installation, premium HPC NoBlow gaskets and HiPerCoat coated fasteners are included. Downpipes with bungs for O2 fittings are also available for fuel injected engines.
Developed as a universal block hugger header, the No Leaker fits street rods from 1929 – 1941, many post-war cars and trucks using rack-and-pinion steering, 1955 – 1957 Chevys and Chevy II’s with rack-and-pinion conversions (Heidts, TCI), 1963 – 1967 C2 Corvettes, and Chevrolet small block engine swaps into Jeep CJ’s, TJ’s and YJ’s, and Toyota FJ-40’s. No Leaker headers fit most angle plug heads (OEM and aftermarket) and are available for both standard and D-port small block Chevrolet heads.
No Leak headers will fit the GM 350 HO and ZZ4 engines but will not fit the LS1 and LS6 350 engines.
In a header shoot-out, Chevy High Performance Magazine had this to say about HPC No Leak headers in January 1999:
“Are they better than cast-iron manifolds? In this case, the answer is a resounding yes since the HPC shorties made 29 more horsepower at the top. Close to the bottom of the power band the shorties made 30 lb-ft more torque at 2,800 and then again came on strong in the upper- to midrange and top end of the power curve.”

engine temperature drop over our OEM exhaust manifolds, we also noted an
engine compartment temperature drop of nearly 45 degrees!”
