Buddy Rice wins the Indy
500 and the Argent Mortgage 300

Force/Honda/Firestone #15 Indy car has won two of the last four IRL races
Qualifying #1 at the Indianapolis 500 on
May 30 with a speed of 222.024 MPH Buddy Rice went on to win the 88th
Indianapolis 500 after leading 91 laps, the most led in the race.
Rice qualified second at the
Bombardier 500 in Dallas, TX but finished 15th after being
taken out in an accident. Rice qualified second also at Sun Trust Indy
Challenge at Richmond, VA but finished 6th.
The Argent Mortgage 300 in Kansas
City, MO saw Rice's return to the top of the podium as he again qualified first
at 210.141 MPH and led 83 laps to win
the race in the second closest finish in IRL history with just 7 inches,
or 0.0051 of a second lead over teammate Vitor Meira.
Buddy Rice has qualified first three times,
and second two times in the seven IRL races this season.
