HPC Mourns Passing of Managing Director of Operations
Manurewa, New Zealand- HPC has been saddened recently by the loss of one of its own.
HPC manager Grahame Stephen Moss passed away peacefully in his home in Auckland, New Zealand on April 3rd, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was 50. His likeable character and deep understanding of engineering was paramount to our New Zealand facility and to the company as a whole.
Grahame was born October 28, 1955 in Norfolk, England and he later immigrated to New Zealand in 1967. His early racing experience found him as a navigator for a rally team and his passion for motorsports stayed with him throughout his life. He also had a deep love for his family and his religion. He was a Board of Trustee Member at his children’s school and was involved in his church since 1992.
As an employee, he was honest and absolutely reliable. His friendly nature led him to be admired by customers and co-workers alike. When a problem arose, Grahame was the first to rise to the challenge and use his engineering background to find a solution. His hard working spirit and attention to detail quickly led Grahame to become Managing Director of Operations of the New Zealand facility.
Grahame was a very private person who was meticulous and honest in his dealings with everyone he knew. He was described as ‘a real gentleman.’ With his easy-going mannerisms and cheerful countenance, Grahame will always hold a special place in all of our hearts.
These feelings for Grahame were expressed for us all by HPC founder, Jeff Holm:
“Grahame’s loss has been very difficult for me. My business trips to his New Zealand facility will always be cherished. He exemplified integrity, honesty and love for his family and religion.
“He had a passion for his work and genuine concern for his customers. Even up to the end Grahame showed dignity and faith. I have lost a dear friend and express my gratitude for time spent with him and things taught to me by Grahame.”
God Speed, Grahame.
Grahame is survived by wife, Alison, and children Stephanie and David, and his parents.
