Pro Stock World Champion, Warren Johnson grosses 52 NHRA championships

Chandler, AZ- February 2006

With a jaw-dropping 52 NHRA championships, High Performance Coatings, Inc. has grown accustomed to victories at the world’s most illustrious races. This winning trait is shared with the prominent HPC-sponsored NHRA Pro Stock driver Warren Johnson.

At 62 years of age, Johnson has shown no signs of slowing down. On February 26, 2006 at the 22nd annual Checker Schuck’s Kragen NHRA Nationals, Johnson pushed his career wins record to an astounding 96!  The race was held at Firebird International Raceway where Johnson claimed victory after defeating class dominator Greg Anderson in a final round that included some of the top Pro Stock racers of all time.

A six-time NHRA Pro Stock World Champion, Warren was the first NHRA Pro Stock driver to exceed 180, 190, and finally 200 mph.

HPC has worked with Warren Johnson Racing for over ten years now, accompanying him on win after win. When asked about the benefits of HPC’s world-renowned coatings, Warren responded “HPC helped power me to my Pro Stock World Championships.”

Just like in his legendary driving, Johnson got straight to the point.
