Warren Johnson Sets Both Ends Of The Pro Stock World Record

Warren Johnson in the Goodwrench Service Pontiac Firebird set both ends of the national record with a 6.867 and 201.34 mph run at the Revell Nationals Dallas, TX  October 24,1998.  Warren has the NHRA Pro Stock World Championship sewn up for for the fourth time in the 1990’s with a comfortable points lead over Jeg Coughlin, Jr.

The “Professor of Pro Stock” spent the 1997 season developing combinations and actually ran three different cars.  Obviously it has paid off this year with the consistent performance that most racers only dream of.  Johnson’s performance during the 1990’s has been incredible with three Winston Pro Stock Championship titles and three second places.  Warren recorded the first 200 mph run in NHRA Pro Stock in April 1997.

HPC congratulates Warren on his new world record and is proud to be part of Warren’s race program.
